Activities Coming Up

Nineteen Probus members showed up for the bus trip to Mt Dandenong National Park on what must have been the coldest day for some weeks, driving up the mountain felt like we were off to the snow.

Some members went for a bus ride around the park and thoroughly enjoyed the trees, plants and beautiful vistas, others braved the walk around the Australian Chelsea Flower Garden.

At times we needed our umbrellas for a few minutes but the beautiful layout of the walk, sculptures, huge rocks and ferns, not to mention the many varied plants both large and small caught our attention.

The gardens were a delight and we enjoyed the walk and appreciated the clever design and layout.

After thawing out in the bus we had lunch at the Mt Dandenong Hotel, where, to our great relief, a fire was burning in the huge open fireplace.

Thanks everyone for showing up, joining in the spirit of the day and enjoying time talking to the other members.

Proposed Bus trip to Cowes, Phillip Island - Friday 13th November.

Departure: 9.00am from North Balwyn Bowls Club.

Return: 4.30 - 5.00pm.

Visit the Chocolate Factory.

Walk the Koala Conservation Reserve.

Walk along the boardwalks and see koalas in their natural habitat.

Enjoy lunch at Phillip Island RSL Club, (your cost).

Cost: $20.00 bus fare, which includes entry to the Koala Conservation Park.
