FRIDAY 20 FEBRUARY.

THE IMMIGRATION MUSEUM.            COST $12

Meet at the Immigration Museum, 400 Flinders Street, Melbourne at 10.30am.

Some of the current exhibitions are “A City Fed by Many Cultures” and “My working Life.”

Lunch will be at a nearby restaurant or hotel.

THURSDAY 12 MARCH.

FERRY TRIP TO PORT ARLINGTON. COST $78

The ferry leaves Docklands at 9.30am and returns to Docklands at 5.10pm

Lunch is at The Grand Hotel, Port Arlington.

The $78 package includes the return ferry ride ($40) and lunch at the hotel, 1 course and a drink of wine or beer.

Extra food is available for a charge.

THURSDAY 16 APRIL.

GEORGES REMEMBERED.          

COST $40

1.15pm Chandelier Room, Hawthorn Arts Centre, 360 Burwood Road, Hawthorn.

A fun and informative talk from a former Georges employee, Justin McLean about the history of Georges.

There is a fashion parade of clothes from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as well as 1950’s music from 3AK. Afternoon tea will be served.

All proceeds will go to the Balwyn Historical Society. If you would like to join this activity please advise either Annette or Sandy at the February meeting and pay $40 cash or internet banking by Monday 2 March.
